Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made Europe’s participation in potential ceasefire negotiations at the leaders’ level a condition. According to Ukrainska Pravda, Zelenskyy stated that the first step toward lasting peace must be a ceasefire. He proposed a meeting of Ukraine, Russia, Europe, and preferably the US.

Zelenskyy argued that European countries suffer from the war, for instance through drone attacks. The proposals of Germany, France, Britain, and Ukraine are to be discussed at the upcoming G7 and EU summits.
