Ukrainian attacks on transport routes have caused an acute fuel shortage on the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula. According to Spiegel, Russian tourists are unable to leave the peninsula because gas stations have almost no petrol.

The situation is precarious for the civilian population and politically delicate for Vladimir Putin. The attacks target the supply routes Russia uses to provision Crimea.

EuroPulse reported on June 7, 2026, that Putin had squandered the chance for peace (europulse.today/ukraine-putin-lost-chance-peace-talks).
