The past few days once again showed the contradictory image of the US president. Over the weekend, his name was removed from the Kennedy Center in Washington – a place where, in the view of many, he never belonged. Shortly after, Trump had fighters face off in front of the White House until blood flowed, to celebrate his 80th birthday and 250 years of the USA. Finally, he presented a peace plan for his conflict with Iran.
But the deal with Tehran is not a triumph. Trump constantly tries to feign strength to his compatriots and the world. However, more and more people realize how weak this bluffer really is. His presidency is described as a historic disaster.
The commentary paints the picture of a fraudster who wants to distract from his own weakness with stagings of power and toughness. The Iran deal, which Trump sells as a great success, is in truth a sign of his weakness. Criticism of his policies is growing both domestically and internationally.
