Explosions were reported in the capital as air defense systems were actively engaged to counter the threat posed by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Timur Tkachenko, the head of the Kyiv Military Administration, stated, "An air alert was declared in the capital due to the threat from enemy UAVs." During the alert, air defense systems operated in Kyiv to fend off the attacks.
In Obolonskyi Street in Kyiv, debris from a downed Russian drone fell onto the roof of a 20-story residential building. Information regarding possible casualties or the extent of the damage in Kyiv is still being clarified. In Dnipro, authorities reported damage to transportation infrastructure, a fire, and one injured person.
The attacks underscore the ongoing threat posed by Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
