Vincentz’s camp secured most of the top spots with a narrow majority. The rival faction around Helferich tried to block the party conference, and delegates were pressured or threatened. The federal party leadership around Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla called for an early adjournment, warning of a legal challenge to the list and a possible exclusion from the election, as happened in Bremen in 2023. Nevertheless, the party conference adopted the list.
