According to the Tagesspiegel, the bomb threat occurred early in the morning in Konstanz, directly on the border with the Swiss town of Kreuzlingen. Police evacuated the affected areas, including Klein Venedig and Hafenstraße. A police spokesperson confirmed at midday that a suspicious object had been discovered during the searches.
Due to the closure of the train station, replacement rail services were set up, and bus traffic is being diverted. According to police, there is currently no concrete danger to the public. Nevertheless, emergency services ask people to avoid the area and follow instructions. The cross-border flea market continues as normal in other areas. Police initially did not provide further details about the bomb threat.
