A UN aid convoy in the Kherson region was attacked by a drone during the distribution of humanitarian supplies. According to the United Nations, the convoy was en route to distribute aid near the city of Kherson when it was struck by a second drone. The UN had informed both the Ukrainian and Russian sides in advance about the operation.

No one was injured in the attack. Since Wednesday, Russia has carried out more than 1,500 drone strikes on Ukraine, with the Ukrainian capital being one of the targets. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited an apartment complex in Kyiv that was attacked on Friday, where 24 people were killed, including three children.

A rescuer, Ivan Zakharchuk, shared his experiences during the rescue operations: “I didn’t tell anyone, not even my father. I took gloves, went out, and climbed on the rubble to help.” He described how he did not think about himself, but only about how he could assist the victims.

The situation in the region remains tense as attacks on civilian targets continue. The international community is watching the developments with concern.
