The German government plans to take a stake in the German-French tank manufacturer KNDS. According to the Tagesspiegel, a 30 percent stake is planned in the medium term. KNDS produces, among other things, the Leopard 2.

Markus Söder (CSU) had previously advocated for German shares in the defense group. The exact terms of the entry are not yet known.
