According to Welt, the expansion of roads, railways, and climate protection projects from the special fund is progressing only slowly. The €500 billion package was supposed to modernize Germany’s infrastructure and climate protection, but implementation is lagging behind plans.

According to a report, the German government has so far only partially achieved the self-set goals of the special fund. The exact reasons for the delays were not given, but many projects are apparently stalling.
