Sumy: One Dead, 15 Injured in Russian Attacks

Russian attacks on Oblast killed one civilian and injured 15 people, including three children, over the past day, the regional military administration reported.

Russian forces launched nearly 80 attacks on 33 settlements in 20 communities of Oblast on June 2 and 3, 2026. A 72-year-old man was killed in the Hlukhiv community, according to the regional military administration.

Five people were wounded in Hlukhiv, including a 37-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man. In the Sumy community, seven civilians were injured, including three children aged six, 11, and 15. An 88-year-old woman was wounded in Krasnopillia by a glide bomb strike.

In Bilopillia, a drone attack injured three people. In Mykolaiv and Khutir-Mykhailivskyi, two elderly women were wounded by shelling and a drone strike, respectively. The attacks damaged residential buildings, vehicles, farm buildings, and civilian infrastructure in several communities.
