The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) plan to ramp up production and deployment of experimental technologies to counter Russian attack drones and FPV drones, General Oleksandr Syrskyi announced, as reported by the Kyiv Post.
The announcement followed a demonstration by the AFU’s Central Directorate for Innovation Activities, a platform that coordinates military research with technology developers and defense manufacturers. According to Syrskyi, Ukrainian manufacturers presented new developments and demonstrated their function under simulated combat conditions. The test results confirmed that the systems could reduce the effectiveness of enemy aerial attacks.
Technical details, operating principles, and deployment strategies remain classified for operational security reasons. “Our task is to ensure that the Russian occupiers learn about our capabilities directly on the battlefield,” Syrskyi said. The military command will analyze the test results before making final decisions on production volumes and integration of the systems into frontline troops.
