The Federal Intelligence Service of Germany (BND) identified a suspicious user in a Telegram chat group linked to the Islamic State (IS) based on a tip from the Iraqi intelligence service. This information was reported by WDR and NDR.
The investigation focuses on the user’s activities in the IS-related group, which disseminates potentially dangerous content. The BND promptly evaluated the information and initiated appropriate measures.
The identification of the suspect is part of the efforts by German security authorities to detect and prevent terrorist activities early. Collaboration with international intelligence services, such as the Iraqi, plays a crucial role in this process.
