The accident occurred on a country road in Kaltennordheim. According to police, the 20-year-old driver veered into oncoming traffic for reasons still unclear. The 63-year-old truck driver was unable to avoid the collision.
The head-on crash killed the 20-year-old driver, her 25-year-old passenger, and two children, each about one and a half years old, at the scene. An expert was called in to reconstruct the accident.
The road between the districts of Kaltensundheim and Aschenhausen remained closed for more than four hours. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
