The ‘Klostersommer’ festival at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) commemorates the founding of Weihenstephan Abbey more than a thousand years ago. The centerpiece is a concert by the choir ‘Cantus München’ in the historic court garden.

The ensemble presents compositions by Orlando di Lasso (1532–1594), one of the most significant Renaissance musicians. Lasso wrote these pieces specifically for Weihenstephan Abbey. The concert takes place in the court garden of the former abbey, which now belongs to HSWT.
