According to Deutschlandfunk, the Film Academy is planning a discussion event about the controversial nude scene in Wim Wenders’ film ‘Wrong Move’. The exchange is scheduled for September. The background is the director’s decision to temporarily withdraw the 1975 film from circulation.
The film features a nude scene with then-13-year-old actress Nastassja Kinski. The screenplay was written by Peter Handke, based on a template by Johann Wolfgang Goethe. Film Academy is thus responding to the public debate about how to handle such scenes in film history.
