The second live-action film about He-Man and the “Masters of the Universe” has hit theaters. The new adaptation of the 1980s franchise relies on surprisingly much humor and avoids clichés of toxic masculinity, according to a review by Spiegel.
Lead actor Nicholas Galitzine plays the muscle-bound hero, who without his sword appears as a weakling. The film is based on the popular toy and cartoon series that achieved cult status worldwide in the eighties.
