Berlin police are searching for several suspects who are alleged to have rioted before the second-division match between Hertha BSC and FC Schalke 04 at the Olympic Stadium. According to the Tagesspiegel, one of those being sought is an officer from the police force itself. The riots occurred on Saturday in front of the stadium when a group attacked police officers.
The identity of the suspect, who is known to the police, has not yet been officially confirmed. Investigations are ongoing. EuroPulse reported on June 4, 2026, about a pilot project in Bavaria where patrol officers are testing Tasers (europulse.today).
