Munich Airport has largely returned to normal operations after a fire alarm late in the evening. According to BR, nearly 20 of about 1,000 scheduled flights were canceled. Around 100 passengers spent the night in the terminals.

The cause of the alarm was initially unclear. Flight operations were temporarily suspended, and several aircraft were diverted. Federal police patrolled the airspace after drone sightings had occurred earlier.

EuroPulse reported on June 8, 2026, about a fire alarm at Munich Airport, where operations resumed after a smell of smoke (link).
