The Saxon State Medical Association has called for a comprehensive restart of the health reform. According to the physicians’ representatives, the current proposals would jeopardize medical care. They emphasize that changes in inpatient care only make sense once outpatient care has been sufficiently improved.

Additionally, doctors are demanding a noticeable reduction in bureaucracy and a clear legal framework for the use of artificial intelligence in medicine. Medical Association President Erik Bodendieck expressed concerns that the planned reduction of the federal subsidy could further worsen the situation of the statutory health insurance funds.

The medical profession warns that cuts in outpatient care could lead to a decline in appointments and services for patients. Furthermore, the Medical Association rejects the deportation of refugees from medical facilities, as this would endanger the trust between doctors and patients.
