US Donald Trump said on his Truth Social platform that the agreement to end hostilities between the US and Iran is “scheduled for signing tomorrow,” according to the BBC. Immediately after the signing, the strategically important Strait of Hormuz would be reopened to all ships.

Iran’s Esmaeil Baghaei was cautious, however: “We will have to wait regarding the exact date of signing the memorandum of understanding, even if it won’t be tomorrow.” Pakistan, acting as mediator, said it expects the deal to be concluded within 24 hours and is preparing for an electronic signing.

Trump’s Conditions and Warning

In his post, Trump apparently referred to Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium. He wrote that “when the time comes, when everything is calm, we will pick up the nuclear dust,” which would later be destroyed. The West has accused Iran for decades of building a nuclear bomb; Tehran denies this, citing civilian use. At the same time, Trump warned that if things do not go “quickly, easily, and smoothly,” Washington has “the ultimate alternative, hopefully never to be used again.”

EuroPulse reported on June 13, 2026, that a deal between the US and Iran was nearing and that Trump had accused Tehran of lying (Deal between US and Iran Nears: Trump Accuses Tehran of Lying).
