The ongoing fighting in the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian crisis there are also on the agenda.
The Republic of Congo is currently battling a new outbreak of the Ebola virus, which further strains an already weak healthcare system. The Human Rights Council aims to draw international attention to the situation and coordinate possible aid measures.
