The 22-year-old saxophonist Ben Prechtl from Eckernförde will be honored with the IB.SH Jazz Award as part of JazzBaltica 2025. The prize is endowed by the Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein (IB.SH) and is worth 5,000 euros.
The festival takes place from June 25 to 28 directly on the Baltic Sea beach across a total of five stages. Of the 36 concerts, 21 are free of charge and can be attended spontaneously.
The award recognizes the artistic potential of young German musicians who perform at JazzBaltica.
