Several media outlets reported that the raid on the so-called Ukraine House was related to fraud involving social benefits. Residents were reportedly required to show their passports to officers. An employee of the police operations center said the officers were providing administrative assistance to the Federal Employment Agency. He could not initially say what exactly was involved. The Federal Employment Agency was not immediately available for comment.
