Lionel Richie had to end his opening concert at the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota, prematurely. After about an hour on stage, the 77-year-old singer said he was not feeling well. During his performance, Richie sat down repeatedly, which was documented on social media.
“If you’re dizzy, sit on your butt,” he said, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune. So far, there is no update on his health condition or whether further concerts could be affected.
The tour with Earth, Wind & Fire includes a total of 26 dates, including performances at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The tour is scheduled to end on August 14 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
