US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US Donald Trump, were in Qatar to achieve a lasting end to the war. Iran’s chief negotiator Kazem Gharibabadi also took part. The talks were meant to clarify details for a high-level agreement. Points of contention include the Strait of Hormuz and Lebanon, among others.
