After US airstrikes on targets in Iran, Kuwait activated its air defense on Wednesday. There was no initial information on whether any targets in the two countries were hit or what they were.

The US military has declared its strikes on targets in Iran over. The United States blamed Iran for three attacks on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and subsequently struck more than 80 targets, according to its own statements. Iran confirmed the strikes but initially provided no details on possible damage or casualties.

Iran has threatened a response after the latest US strikes. The Iranian Armed Forces General Staff said it would “respond decisively to this aggression and terrorist act.” “Under no circumstances will the Iranian armed forces allow interference in matters concerning the Strait of Hormuz or permit others to control it,” it added.

“The era of intimidation and blackmail is over,” Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf wrote on platform X. “It leads nowhere. We will not cave in.”

After the latest US military strikes on targets in southern Iran, air raid sirens wailed in the Gulf state of Bahrain. The interior ministry of the US-allied country called on residents early in the morning via platform X to remain calm and seek safety. No further details were initially available. Unconfirmed reports indicated several explosions in Bahrain.

There would be a “decisive response to the aggression and terrorist act by the United States,” Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters quoted by state news agency Irna and pro-government broadcaster Press TV.
