Kazakhstan's foreign ministry has dismissed Russian media reports alleging that drones used in an attack on the Omsk oil refinery were launched from Kazakh territory, calling the claims unsubstantiated and provocative.

Kazakhstan’s foreign ministry firmly rejected reports from several Russian media outlets suggesting that Ukraine may have launched drones for the attack on the Omsk oil refinery from Kazakh territory. The ministry described the reports as “unfounded insinuations” aimed at distorting the traditionally friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Russia. The Russian statements are “not true and are not confirmed by any data or facts,” the statement said.

The Kazakh foreign ministry stressed that its territory, airspace, and infrastructure must not be used for actions against other states. It also called on journalists and other parties to rely solely on verifiable facts and refrain from spreading inaccurate information.
