Archaeologists have discovered remains of a lost culture in a narrow cave near Hagen. As Spiegel reports, the researchers found, among other things, harpoon tips on the forecourt of the so-called Blätterhöhle. The finds suggest that two different human groups once met there.
The discovery forces science to reassess the fate of this culture. Previous assumptions about the group’s disappearance could prove incomplete. The exact circumstances of the encounter remain unclear.
