Nikol Pashinyan and his Civil Contract party have won the snap parliamentary election in Armenia. Pashinyan announced the victory on election night, as reported by 24tv. The vote took place on June 7.
Pashinyan has been the head of government of the South Caucasus nation since 2018. The snap election became necessary after the ruling coalition lost its parliamentary majority. The opposition has not yet recognized the result.
