On Friday morning, traffic is heavy in the Bavarian-Austrian border region. According to Bavarian Broadcasting (BR), numerous travelers have prepared for the full closure of the Brenner Pass announced for Saturday and have set off earlier than planned.
At the Brenner itself, there are small traffic jams, but traffic is still largely flowing. Authorities expect significant disruptions on the important Alpine route on Saturday.
