The Chiemsee Reggae Summer is making its comeback from June 26 to 28, 2026, in Übersee on Lake Chiemsee. After ten years, the festival returns to its traditional location. Martin Altmann, one of the two managing directors of Aloha GmbH, which organizes the festival, told the news agency spot on news that the idea had never completely disappeared. In recent years, visitors, artists, and partners had repeatedly asked for a return.

The festival now adopts a more compact concept: instead of up to 30,000 visitors per day as in the past, a maximum of 10,000 tickets are available daily. The focus is again on reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop. Headliners include Marteria and Mr. Vegas, with additional acts such as Anthony B, Lila Iké, Macka B & Roots Ragga Band, Afrob & Ferris MC, and Patrice. In total, more than 30 artists are scheduled to perform on two stages.

Altmann emphasized that the festival aims not to be the largest but one of the most beautiful in Europe. Camping tickets sold out early, while some standard tickets are still available. Demand comes from different generations – from long-time visitors to young people discovering the festival for the first time. Financially, the restart is solidly supported, partly through regional partnerships.
