Ebola clinic in DR Congo set on fire again – infected patients flee

For the second time in days, an Ebola treatment facility in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has been set ablaze. According to Deutschlandfunk, a treatment tent run by Doctors Without Borders was destroyed, and people suspected of being infected with the Ebola virus fled.

The incident occurred in the town of Mongbwalu in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. According to Deutschlandfunk, a treatment tent run by the aid organization Doctors Without Borders was destroyed. The Associated Press reported that people suspected of being infected with the Ebola virus fled the facility.

Just days earlier, a similar arson attack had targeted an Ebola treatment facility in the same region. The motives behind the attacks remain unclear. Authorities have launched investigations. The repeated attacks jeopardize efforts to combat the Ebola epidemic in the region.
