Until June 28, the former Soviet military airfield in Lärz turns into a festival city. More than 3,300 artists perform on over 30 stages. The lineup is traditionally announced only at the start of the festival — via the festival guide and an app. Last year, around 70,000 visitors attended.

Given the heatwave with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’s Social Affairs Minister Stefanie Drese (SPD) urged caution. “Alcohol and heat are a dangerous combination,” Drese warned. The organizer has set up water dispensers and instructed bar operators to halve the price of water. Additionally, Rostock University Medical Center offers anonymous drug substance analyses.

Many visitors arrive via special trains and shuttle buses. The organizers recommend taking the train but ask attendees to refrain from bringing bicycles. Fusion 2026, a festival break is planned for 2027 — as was the case in 2017. The next Fusion is scheduled for 2028.
