Cloud cover over Germany is only reluctantly breaking up. On Tuesday, dense clouds dominate large parts of the country, accompanied by local rain or drizzle. For many, this means a grey start to the week.

In contrast, sunshine appears more frequently between the Baltic Sea and the Ore Mountains. Eastern Bavaria can also hope for brighter intervals as the day progresses. Temperatures remain in the typical range for the season, between 6 and 15 degrees Celsius.

The weather situation reflects the transition into the cooler season. While some regions still experience late-summer moments, others already show an autumnal character. These differences are crucial for planning outdoor activities—whether for the commute to work, sports, or gardening.

A change is on the horizon for Wednesday. According to the German Weather Service, it will become sunnier, though with strong winds, especially in the south. In parts of Bavaria and regionally throughout the day, denser clouds will persist. Nationwide, it remains dry with temperatures ranging from 8 degrees in the Chiemgau region to up to 17 degrees in the mild Rhineland.

The night leading into Wednesday begins with larger cloud gaps in the eastern half and south. In the central and northwestern areas, denser cloud fields are initially present, which may bring isolated light precipitation. However, it mostly stays dry.

As the day progresses, clouds also dissipate in the central regions, while in the northwest, they may hold on in some areas until early morning. Fog can form regionally. In the southeast, more clouds move in towards morning.

This weather forecast helps structure the day better. Those relying on sunshine should keep an eye on the Baltic Sea and Ore Mountain regions. For everyone else, it's worth reaching for an umbrella or jacket. The coming days promise overall drier and partly friendlier conditions, albeit with autumnal coolness.
