Since 2009, fans have celebrated Global Beatles Day informally, but now it’s becoming official: the band and Apple Corps have announced the first official Global Beatles Day. As Euronews reports, the event will take place later this month.

Planned are digital and live events around the world. The organizers have not yet announced a specific date.
