The update brings Chrome to version 150.0.7871.46 for Linux and Mac, and 150.0.7871.47 for Windows. The Android version has also been updated to 150.0.7871.63 and includes the same fixes. Google recommends a prompt update, which is usually installed automatically.
The high number of vulnerabilities is part of a trend: AI models are now finding significantly more security holes than before. Firefox has also recently recorded hundreds of holes per month, compared to just a few dozen a year ago. A year ago, Chrome closed only three holes in the Stable Channel.
Users can manually trigger the update by checking the current software version in the browser menu under “Help” and “About Chrome.” On mobile devices, the update goes through the app store, often with a delay. Other Chromium-based browsers are likely to receive similar updates.
