In the accident on line 88 between Schöneiche and Rüdersdorf, an occupied tram and an empty tram collided. Ten passengers and one tram driver were injured; the other driver suffered shock, according to the Schöneicher-Rüdersdorfer Straßenbahn company.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Recovery work is underway, and line 88 is expected to be suspended until early afternoon. A replacement bus service has been set up. Schöneicher Landstraße is closed.
