Hezbollah has again attacked northern Israel with explosive drones, according to the Israeli military. Two impacts occurred on Israeli territory near the border with Lebanon, but no injuries were reported. Warning sirens had sounded in several towns along the northern border, signaling the imminent danger.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich commented on the incident on platform X, calling the attack a test of the so-called ‘Dahiya Doctrine,’ formulated by Benjamin Netanyahu. This doctrine refers to the suburbs of Beirut, which are a stronghold of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah and home to many civilians.

A week ago, Israel struck the suburbs of Beirut in response to Hezbollah rocket fire on the country’s north. These military actions led to an escalation, with Iran responding with missile attacks on northern Israel. Smotrich demanded that Netanyahu ‘destroy buildings in Dahiya today’ to uphold the promise of security to the residents of the north.

Iran, allied with Hezbollah, is seeking a ceasefire in Lebanon as part of an agreement with the United States. Israel, however, flatly rejects linking the two fronts and aims to destroy Hezbollah while reaching a peace settlement with the Lebanese government.

EuroPulse reported on June 13, 2026, about Israel’s airstrikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon and the extension of the ceasefire, which can be read here.
