Iran's leadership is preparing a six-day state funeral for the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. According to Deutsche Welle, the ceremony is set to begin on July 4.
The funeral is planned as a demonstration of strength at home and abroad. Iran’s leadership aims to underscore its power and unity. Khamenei had been Supreme Leader since 1989 and was considered the country’s most influential political and religious authority.
