The ensemble decided in 1990 during a tour of Germany to stay permanently in the Federal Republic due to the political changes in Georgia. Since then, it has enriched the cultural scene far beyond the region.

Under the direction of French conductor Olivier Tardy, the program includes compositions by George Frideric Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonín Dvořák, Gabriel Fauré, and Camille Saint-Saëns. The soloist is German-Swiss cellist Emanuel Graf, principal cellist of the Bavarian State Orchestra. He plays the Stradivari cello “L’Évêque de La Rochelle” from 1690.

The concert begins at 7:30 PM. Tickets cost from 29 euros and are available at tickets.kloster-musik.de; remaining tickets are available at the box office. The organizers highlight the combination of historic architecture, musical culture, and top-class performers.
