A chaotic incident unfolded last night on an intercity express train traveling from Aachen to Frankfurt, when a 20-year-old man ignited two pyrotechnic devices around 9 PM, causing panic among passengers. Alarmed travelers quickly notified the authorities, leading to the man's arrest at Siegburg station.
The Federal Police confirmed the arrest and identified the suspect as being from Aachen. During a search, officers found a mask, two knives, and two commercially available smoke bombs in his possession. He is now being investigated for attempted murder and serious bodily harm, with his motives remaining unclear at this time.
