Netanyahu said on X that Israel would not tolerate attacks on its soldiers or its territory. Hezbollah would pay a heavy price for its attacks. In the latest attacks in southern Lebanon, four Israeli soldiers were killed and four others wounded.

Israel responded with massive counterstrikes that killed numerous people. The Lebanese government considers the area controlled by Israel to be illegally occupied under international law.

According to the state-run National News Agency (NNA), at least three people have been killed in Israeli strikes in Lebanon, including two in a drone attack. The Israeli military said it intercepted several rockets fired from Lebanon at Israeli troops.
