According to Golem, Netflix now requires its customers to provide a separate email address for each profile within a subscription. Previously, a single email address sufficed for the entire account to manage multiple profiles. The change affects both existing and new users.
With the new rule, the streaming service apparently aims to further complicate account sharing. Last year, Netflix began cracking down on so-called account sharing across households, introducing an extra fee for external users.
Customers must now assign and verify a separate email address for each profile. Those with multiple profiles, for example for family members, must provide as many addresses. As of now, there is no way to circumvent the rule.
