French artist JR had wrapped the Pont Neuf in Paris with a giant canvas as a tribute to the late Christo. The installation, titled “La Caverne du Pont-Neuf,” was scheduled to open to the public on June 6.
But the canvas has been damaged, according to Spiegel. The exact cause remains unclear. JR himself announced on Instagram that the opening must be postponed. A new date has not yet been set.
