The Rock im Park festival kicks off Friday in Nuremberg. According to Bayerischer Rundfunk, 73 acts will perform, and around 80,000 visitors are expected each day. Organizers have expanded the security concept and increased the number of entrances and exits.
A new app is being used for the first time to help visitors navigate the grounds. Numerous volunteer rescue workers are on duty around the clock to ensure medical care. Organizers hope this will reduce traffic jams and crowding.
