Romanian President Nicușor Dan has appointed MEP Eugen Tomac as the new prime minister, nearly a month after Ilie Bolojan's resignation, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

Romanian President Nicușor Dan has appointed MEP and presidential adviser Eugen Tomac as the new prime minister. The decision came nearly a month after the resignation of Ilie Bolojan, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

Tomac now has ten days to form a cabinet and win a vote of confidence in parliament. The 43-year-old was born near the Ukrainian city of Izmail in Odesa Oblast and moved to Romania as a teenager.
