Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the fuel shortage in Russia was due to a ‘demand boom.’ The government plans to resolve the problem by importing oil products – but only if offers at acceptable prices are found, Peskov stated.
Russia had previously speculated about possible imports from Kazakhstan, but Kazakhstan denied this.
