Søren Torpegaard Lund, a 27-year-old artist from the Danish island of Funen, will perform his song “Før Vi Går Hjem” at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. The song, which translates to “Before We Go Home,” won the Danish selection against last year’s participant Sissal and is considered a top favorite by bookmakers.

Danish singer, who has been nominated for the Danish Rainbow Award, advocates for improving the living conditions of LGBTQ individuals. His participation in the ESC is accompanied by the exhibition “United By Queerness,” which traces the history of queer influence on the competition at the Qwien cultural center.

Lund’s performance is described as striking, featuring dancers tightly packed in a transparent box. He showcases his musical talent with electronic beats and an emotional melody, although it may lack that certain something needed to secure victory.

Enthusiasm for the song has cooled somewhat during the ESC week, possibly due to the staging. Nevertheless, he remains an interesting candidate for the competition taking place in Vienna.
