The ceasefire between the US and Iran is in a critical state, according to US Donald Trump. He described Iran's response to a US proposal for ending the war as "foolish" and "absolutely unacceptable." These remarks came in the context of the absence of direct negotiations in Pakistan, which have failed to materialize despite several attempts.

Trump accused Iran of not adhering to previous commitments, stating that Iran had initially agreed to remove enriched uranium from the country but later changed its position, which is not reflected in the current proposal. Despite these challenges, Trump remains optimistic and continues to believe in a diplomatic solution.

Iran rejected Trump's accusations. According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, reports that Iran agreed to halt uranium enrichment for 15 years are incorrect. Iran's 14-point plan demands full sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, the lifting of sanctions, and reparations for war damages.

Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf, the Iranian Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator, emphasized that the rights of the Iranian people must be recognized. He stated, "There is no other option but to acknowledge the rights of the Iranian people as outlined in the 14-point plan."
