Turkish police entered the headquarters of the largest opposition party, the CHP, in Ankara on Tuesday. According to Deutsche Welle, officers enforced a court order with violence. The action targets the party, which performed surprisingly well in the last local elections.
In another case, the Turkish state apparatus showed leniency. Deutsche Welle initially did not provide details on this case. The CHP, the Republican People’s Party, is the main opposition force against the government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
